Did you know ...
that the use of destination control systems can result in long waiting time?
More and more frequently, we are encountering buildings with modern elevators that use destination control systems, particularly those with high-user traffic. However, do not assume that destination control systems will reduce waiting times before entering the elevator. Destination control systems are only optimized for reaching the intended floor as quickly as possible, and not for picking up the passenger in the fastest way, as in the case of elevators with collective controls. This can actually result in longer waiting periods before the elevator arrives. For that reason, flexyPage displays are well-suited for easing the perceived waiting time through entertaining multimedia content.
flexyPage displays support destination calls
The modern flexyPage displays have plenty of features for visualization and elevator control, using multimedia content provided at a local level or through the internet. Additionally, input and visualization of destination calls is now available. Through its modern technology, displays can be used in a variety of ways for destination control in the building, such as: landing display with integrated touch, pre-ride information above or next to the elevator door, or floor status and direction of travel during the ride. The passenger remains informed during the whole elevator ride. This not only provides the user with transparency and a feeling of safety, it also contributes to the reduction of unintended flights and ensures increased passenger comfort.
