Did you know…

that the average travel time for lifts in buildings over 100 meters high, such as large hospitals, offices, and administrative buildings, is six hours per day?

The frequent use of passenger lifts in larger buildings offers great potential to reach visitors effectively with messages. However, many have not yet recognised this advantage, since the use of digital advertising in lifts is still relatively unknown, and necessary tools for application are often lacking. Though the effect of lift advertising messages is strongly underestimated, exposure to Ad View in lifts is much higher than other out-of-home advertising media. Visitors have a limited view and not much else to do in a lift, so it is hard to look elsewhere during their ride. In addition, colours and movement attract our attention, which makes it again extremely difficult to avert one’s gaze from the visual content on the lift display.

The right timing is essential

A special feature of the flexyPage displays is to show event-based or time-dependent information. Advertisements and other content can be linked with certain lift states, such as position, door status, direction of movement, or other so-called 'events'. More specifically, pressing a floor button can trigger the display to immediately show content defined for that respective floor level. Lift events can also include indications such as 'special service' or 'VIP transport'. It is also possible to show information at specifically defined times. Various parameters, such as date, time, day of the week, as well as the start and end times of the displayed content, can be easily set in the web editor for each desired widget.

Also suitable for Digital Signage

In principle, any kind of information can be communicated with flexyPage. It is not limited to usage only in lifts. flexyPage displays can also be used as digital signage, be it for example to allocate conference rooms on certain floors or to provide information about events occurring in the building.

Enhanced Local Advertising - Roll out advertising campaigns and reach target groups in immediate proximity

The time-dependent and event-based display of certain widgets makes it possible to roll out customized advertising campaigns - whether internally for the purpose of an employer or corporate branding or externally, for advertising purposes of locally based companies. By means of advertising on the displays, surrounding businesses can generate numerous potential new customers for their products, services and brands in just one day.

Depending on the type of building (e.g. employees in offices, tourists and business people in hotels, officials in administrative buildings), the needs of the visitors can be determined in advance so that advertising messages are deliberately directed towards them. During their lift ride, they are then drawn to products and services in the immediate vicinity, which precisely meet their needs. Even before leaving the building, they will have considered the product or the offered service "around the corner" and have made a purchase decision.

Flexible design settings and special widgets

With the web-based editor, there are no limits to creativity. All widgets can cleverly be placed on the display in order to create individual advertising content. For example, the layout of the display could consist of a headline, a picture, gif, video and an infotext. Widgets for entertainment and advertising purposes can be combined with various web services, such as an RSS feed. With the web-based designer tool, background images can be uploaded and stored locally. Font size, color, style and much more can be set as desired.

You can also do without, but...

This hospital uses an information board (right side of picture) to indicate ward locations on each floor. However, their problem was that the content was not clear and the text was too small. On the left side of the picture the solution for this is shown.
